Happiness

A new project for A Sprinkle of Imagination today:-)
I don't make a lot of altered canvases but sometimes I just have to do something different. I LOVE the beach or being at the sea shore, so I've made a little tribute to one of my favorite spots:-)

To make this canvas I first applied some snow writer medium to get a sand like surface. Than I sprayed with some Tattered Angels glimmer mist "Sandy beach".
I wanted this canvas to have a clean look and the new Writers tape from Prima was just perfect! I wrote the statement on the computer and printed it out on a regular paper. Then I glued the tape over and printed it out again.
Last I embellished the canvas with seashells found at one of my favorite places and some pearls.

Also remember to stop by Skissedilla to play along with our latest sketch:-)

Drive fast!

Hi everybody! In english today as this page is made for A sprinkle of Imagination:-)  I'm back scrapping away after a great vacation:-) It's been over a month without scrapping so this time I really had to get messy and just play!
I have to girls and got them some pink princess pages. But I have to say I'm glad that my girls can be real tomboys sometimes so they will get some cool, messy pages to:-)

I've used this weeks sketch from Skissedilla made by Nabon. Stop by and check it out!

This page is made mainly from Jenni Bowlin products, but I've used a few others to. For my background I used a TCW stencil and dabbed on some Prima Chalk Fluid Edger - Fall leaf.
Then I layered a few of the Jenni Bowlin Modern Mercantile papers. I also added some washi tape also from Jenni BowlinTo make the papers blend more together I used some gesso on a babywipe:-)

To finish my page of I embellished it with different stamps, chipboard stars, metal gears and arrows and a rubon from Tim Holtz. LOVE those rubons, they go on perfectly no matter what the background is!
And I also used a few Jenni Bowlin products to make the page come together. A sticker flag banner, postage stamp sticker and a Vintage Decks card. That rooster card was just perfect I think!

C&S

Som regel er det mykje som skjer på sidene mine. Eg elsker fargar, mønster, maling, blekk osv. Men eg ELSKER og clean&simple stilen!

Denne sida har eg laga for A Sprinkle of Imagintaion.

Denne har eg laga ut fra utfordringen "fullfør kunstverket" inne hos Thats just so cute. Herlig oppgåve!

( hmm.. lurer på kva det er med kameraet mitt i dag. Greier visst ikkje å få skarpe bilder..)

Mr. Toad

Hello everybody! I have a new page for A Sprinkle of Imagination today.
Finally we had a beautiful weekend with a taste of summer in Norway, and me and my girls were out gardening for a whole day:-) Sometimes gardening can get pretty exciting for little girls, especially when Mr. Toad shows up! My oldest was ready to get a zoo started, but after a while we came to the understanding that Mr. Toad had to go out in the woods to find Mrs. Toad;-)

I loved how the pictures turned out so I just had to scrap them right a way. And what papers could be more perfect than Glitz Design: Color Me Happy Bits & Pieces. I cut up the paper to make small cards and I also had a sheet from the Color Me Happy 8x8 Paper Pad

I placed a bunch of tags around the page, some from Ranger and some from an unknown manufacturer. The page is simply embellished with a few buttons and some word stickers.

Memory keeping

A new post for A sprinkle of Imagination today:-)

I've had this Printer tray from Tando Creative sitting on my desk for a while, and finally I found the perfect use for it! Last year we had a family vacation to Spain and the girls are still taking about it! I've made a bunch of layouts but I needed to make something special to keep this great memory:-)

I startet out by covering all the pieces with gesso before gluing them together. Then I've used different types of acrylic paint and some crackle paint from Claudine Hellmuth. I glued down some cheese cloth to add a little texture and used a stencil from The Crafters Workshop to make the birds. To give the finishing touch I used some Tattered Angels Glimmer mist.

This is a small printer tray but it was perfect to keep small treasures in the small spaces:-)

On the front cover I added some texture using a stencil and molding paste. I then used a lot of different glimmer mists. The alphas, sun and clouds are coloured with the same colors. I also used some seashells on the front. To close my "book" I used a bracelet I bought in the town we stayed.

Hope this inspired you all to give the printer trays a closer look. This is perfect for memory keeping:-)

Flying High!

A new project for A Sprinkle of Imagination today:-)

This time I've had fun messing around with paint, stencils and mist:-) I also made my page using a Prima Build-A-Page Sketch and a beautiful colorpalette from the Color Room:-) I love challenges and they often give me the kick in the back to get started:-)

To make this page I started out by almost covering my background paper with gesso and paint to match the colors in the palette. I used some masks and stencils aswell. Then I glued down some regular tissue paper and some strips of Bazzil Antique book paper (LOVE!), and layered a few different Ranger tags on top. I continued by painting over the paper here and there and then I used a lot of mist to make it all come together:-)

To embellish the page I based it on my Prima products, both old and new. The flowers and the butterfly is from my own stash but in the shop you can get the Lady Bird paper clip, the Finnabair Vintage Machanicals
and the zipper metal trinket that are all from Prima. I also used a Prima stamp on the side of the photos.

A tag for him and a tag for her...

A new post for A sprinkle of imagination today:-)

Today I'm sharing a quick post with a tag for him and a tag for her.. I've used Ranger tags that you can find in a variety of sizes and colours in the shop.

The tags are actually made using leftover paint and ink from my art-journal. Can't waist anything;-)

First a tag for him;

On this tag I first smudge some gesso on, then I rolled over a crackle roller stamp. When it had dried up I used a few Tim Holtz stamps and a studio Calico stamp for the background. Then I added a bit of Tim Holtz tissue paper to the edges. Finally I added some tickets to embellish the page a bit more.

In the background you can get a glimpse of the Glitz Design Roller Doodle stamp. Love it and will show it to you more in a later post:-)

And then a tag for her;

This tag is made just by "picking" up the last drops of distress ink and water from my work surface. Then I added two staps from Tim Holtz to finish it. I loved how the background turned out so I would'nt hide it.

Hope you all like my tags. I have some plans for a bigger project later this month;-)

Haust...

Today I'll show a page made for A Sprinkle of Imagination.

Ok, I know it's spring now, but in the progress of making this page it turned out an autumn page:-)

This was suppose to be a step-by-step on how to make your own background, but my camera is not my friend these days so the first steps are missing.. If you want to see my post check it out here:-)

9 måneder!

This time I've made a simple page describing my youngest daughter at 9 months:-) The page is simple in design with some stencils and scrap papers as basis.
I wanted to make plenty of room for my journaling and chose a pretty simple design:-)

I've used stencils from Prima and The Crafters Workshop as the backdrop for this page. I've sprayed with Dylusions bubblegum pink and lemon zest, the black numbers I've also used Dylusions but here I've dabbed it on to get a more clear image.

Then I've layered some scraps of papers, used a few stamps from Studio Calico and embellished with some washi tape, cabochon flowers and the cutest little elephant I found buried in my stash:-)

Best wishes

In English today with a post for A Sprinkle of Imagination:-)

I'm not much of a card maker but I'm trying to change that;-) So here is a card from me to you.

On this card I've used scraps of paper from Teresa Collins Now & Then collection. My base is the Damask paper and the clock is cut out from the paper Clocks. I've used a strip of a Paper Layer from Glitz. I've embellished with a feather, a shell and some crystals from Prima.

On the inside of my card I've also used Paper Layers from Glitz. LOVE them! I also used an old book page that I have coloured with coffee. I've embellished the page with some Tim Holtz stickers and some Prima crystals.

Guess I should add some text to, just have to find out who I'll give the card to;-)

Joy!

In english today sharing layout for A Sprinkle of Imagination. This is a really quick way to make a layout. I love messing around with mists and paints on my pages but sometimes the simple touch is the best;-)

I made this page in about 30 minutes watching tv:-)

First I picked out my papers. If you choose a b & w photo anything goes;-) I don't really mesure but just cut the papers up randomly. The first is the backside of  "Red Flower" from the Now & then papers from Teresa Collins. Then I curled up a piece of Glitz Designs Yours Truly Ephemera and a French Kiss paper Layer also from Glitz. When you curl them like this it gives the page some extra depht. I attached them all using staples to be even more quick:-)

In between the layers I put a few journaling cards. The tag in the back is from Jenni Bowlin and it is matching perfectly to the Alpha stickers also from Jenni Bowlin. I embellished the page with a Donna Downey Poppy flower from Prima and a Light bulb from Prima junkyard findings, some twine and some metal flowers.

To give the page the final touch I wrote some journaling along the edge.

Also remember this weeks sketch at Skissedilla!

Tag time!

A post for A Sprinkle of Imagination today:-)

I just love playing with different techniques and colors on tags:-) This time I have a bright and yellow one wich is perfect now as I'm longing for spring:-)

First I've used a stencil from the Crafter's workshop and made stars using molding paste. Then I've sprayed with Dylusions, mainly yellow but also added a touch of blue. I also like spraing som water on top to blend the colors together.

Then I've embellished with a piece of Glitz Designs Yours truly ephemera patterened paper, a ticket, a journaling spot, washi tapes and some stamps. To give the tag a little special touch I added a Prima Art tile and some Prima crystals.

So here it is for you - hope it'll brighten up your day:-)

I also made a tag for "Papiralongen" at CASAkreativ. This time the challenge was MOM and using a feather. So this is a tag I've made for her to make good for not giving her anything on mothers day..

The last time

A new layout for A Sprinkle of Imagination. This time I've scrapped the last time Helle Alida had her pacifier. She really enjoyed it but gave it up with no regrets:-)

The patterned paper I've used for the background is from Theresa Collins Now & Then collection - Floral. It really made me long for spring even more.. I toned down the paper a bit using Claudine Hellmuth gesso and baby wipes. Then I layered some papers behind the photo also using Theresa Collins Now & Then collection. Here I've used the papers Clocks (front and back) and Red flower.

I then added some embellishments. I layered some scraps of papers and added some Genie Stones and Crystals from Prima. I also used and a light bulb from Prima.

I also added some Cabochons flower and brads from my stash. Don't know where these are from but the shop has some gorgeous one from Prima
For my title I used Jenni Bowlins "Grey Skinny Alpha". To make the title match my page I dabbed on some white gesso

The story of Grandpa

Another post for A Sprinkle of Imagination today:-)  I know I don't normally write in English but maybe I'll do it some more now.

As soon as I got my hands on this Die Cut & Perforated Bank statment from Jenni Bowlin, I knew I had to make a page for my grandpa! I love the vintage feel of it and wanted to make a vintage layout.

In my first DT-kit I got a Claudine Hellmuth Sticky-Back canvas sheet. I loved playing with it using paint and inks but unfortunately I didn't get a useful result this time;-) But then I decided to do some stamping on a piece of it and distressing it with som instant coffe and water. I also used some Tattered Angels Glimmer mist here. I ruffled the edges and stiched it down using a French Kiss - Paper layer from Glitz Designs, as a mat. As I can't throw anything away I used the thorned thread from the canvas sheet to embellish the page.

I had one piece of the canvas left and  thought I give it a go in the printer! And I just love the result!

I made some flowers from a newspaper and coloured it with instant coffee.  I also embellished my page with some old buttons, washi tape, Jenni Bowlin Printed flag tags and printed tags, and Grey Skinny Alpha also from Jenni Bowlin. I also used some Teeny Alphas from Glitz designs for my title.
To finish the page off I used Tim Holtz Distress ink around the page.
